Title V (Permits)

 

Regulates emissions into the air.  HVAC systems must meet federal requirements for minimizing the release of ozone depleting substances.  Printing and publication facilities that use solvent-based inks may be subject to federal regulation under the Clean Air Act. 

 

Requires annual fees to be paid based upon total tons of actual emissions of each regulated pollutant. Requires a semi-annual report to the permissing authority. Each permit issued sets forth inspection, monitoring, entry, compliance certification and reporting requirements. States may also set forth additional permitting requirements.

 

A government contractor must certify that it is in compliance.
