Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant

 

20 U.S.C. §§ 1070b-1070b-334 C.F.R. § 676.1 et seq.

 

Provides supplemental grants to assist students who show exceptional financial need and who have not received first undergraduate degrees.  Priority is given to Federal Pell Grant students. Students can receive these grants at any one of approximately 4,000 participating postsecondary institutions. Institutional financial aid administrators at participating institutions have substantial flexibility in determining the amount of FSEOG awards to provide students who are enrolled or accepted for enrollment.
