"D.C. Air Pollution Control Act of 1984"

D.C. Code Ann. §§ 8-101.01 to 8-101.06

 

 

The Law:  The Act requires the Mayor to prepare a comprehensive air pollution control and prevention program for the District and provides for its administration and enforcement.  Also, the Act empowers the Mayor to conduct tests as necessary (and at least once a year) to determine if the District is in compliance with the emission standards established by the District and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for Solid Waste Reduction Center Number 1.
