Non-Discrimination with Respect to Students
Fair Housing Act Amendments of 1988
42 U.S.C. § 3601 et seq.
The 1988 amendments prohibit discrimination in housing based on disability. The Fair Housing Act prohibits discrimination based upon race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status or disablity.
Without addressing directly the issue of whether dorms come under the purview of the FHA, the following consent decree was enterered into by Justice and Kent State:
