You are responsible for all use associated with your computer account. As described above, if your conduct would violate the Standard of Student Conduct, the same conduct with the use of a computer is likely prohibited as well.

 

Students should exhibit good "Netiquette." Netiquette refers to acceptable network behavior derived from experience on the networks. Simply, Netiquette guidelines suggest that users be polite and considerate of others. As students, remember that computer use is essentially for educational purposes related to "unsponsored research, instructional computing, learning, and administrative activities, and must not be used for commercial purposes, monetary gain, personal promotion, private consulting, or sponsored research" (Student Handbook, "Computer Ethics").
